Meet Zoe Prentice, children's author
Hello! I’m Zoe Prentice, a children’s author from Scotland with over 23 years of experience working in childcare. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping children learn, grow, and develop confidence through play, storytelling, and meaningful relationships.
One of my greatest joys is bringing stories to life. I love reading to children with enthusiasm, using different voices, expressions, and plenty of imagination to make each character feel real. Watching children become completely absorbed in a story is truly magical, and I believe books have the power to inspire curiosity, spark imagination, and teach important values.
Through my My Best Friend series, I hope to encourage kindness, inclusiveness, empathy, and friendship, helping children understand that our differences are something to celebrate and that everyone deserves to feel accepted and valued.
When I’m not writing, I’m kept busy by my two cheeky little Chihuahuas, Bella and Hunter, who never fail to make me smile. Whether we’re out on adventures or curled up together with a good book, they remind me every day of the unconditional love and friendship that inspired my stories.
